Title: Full Interview with Stephanie Thomas

Length: 27 Minutes

Summary:  Stephanie Thomas serves as Vice President of Princeton Satellite Systems, a boutique space company in New Jersey.  The company has been partnering with Dr. Sam Cohens' lab at PPPL to develop the Princeton Field Reversed Configuration, for space.  In 2017, the team was awarded a NASA grant to develop the device into a fusion engine.  This is a liner fusion rocket, which can be started up using an on-board fuel cell.  Once fusing, the exhaust from the reactor can be channeled through a magnetic nozzle at the back - leading to a 5 to 10 newtons of thrust and tens of kilowatts of electrical power.  In our interview, we walk through the supporting technology of high temperature superconductors, heat radiators and the brayton conversion cycle.
